Tip #3- Support Learning at Home…When families support and reinforce learning at home, children do better in school. Asking specific questions is one way to do this. For example, “Did you take an AR test today?” Teachers help families support learning at home with ongoing communication.

In honor of Veterans Day tomorrow, we are showing our support by wearing red, white, and blue! Please join with us and have your child wear red, white, and blue with us! We will be holding an in-school ceremony for our students to remember our veterans. As always, thank you for your continued support!

Hello Parents,
Center Elementary would like to provide support on some important topics that are covered in the October edition of the “Home and School Connection Newsletter”. We have highlighted a few topics that may be of interest to our parents. We have indicated this by drawing 2 stars by the sections that we felt addressed the needs of parents according to parent input surveys and feedback.
Highlighted Topics:
Homework Success - All of the information in this section targets how to make homework a more meaningful task!
Strengthen bonds with family traditions - This section can help you to build relationships that will help your child connect with you and your family heritage. The end result will likely enhance the time you spend with your children.
Learning to brainstorm - Parents many times feel worn out after working with his/her child. This may be because you are doing too much of the work. Teach them to brainstorm and think for themselves and that his/her ideas are not right or wrong... they are simply a process to get our brain thinking!
We hope you will read the entire newsletter. It offers ideas that can help you support your child’s educational journey.
