Attention Parents/Learning Coaches of Digital Students Important Announcement
Please make sure that your child is logging in to the PE Google Classroom daily. On February 1st, students began learning the protocol and practicing for the FitnessGram assessment. Fitnessgram is a state-mandated fitness assessment for students in K-12. Kindergarten through 3rd-grade students are required to practice the proper protocol and report scores for height and weight. 4th and 5th-grade students are required to practice the proper protocol and report scores for all five components.
Fitnessgram testing will begin on February 22nd. All of the information needed to complete the practice and assessment can be found in the PE Google Classroom, which is why it is so important for you to check this daily. Please email or call if you need assistance regarding the Fitnessgram Assessment.

Hello Parents, Guardians, and Learning Coaches,
Center Elementary Staff continue to prioritize the needs of our students. We have used feedback from surveys to address the needs of our parents and students. We address these needs each month using the Home and School Connection newsletter.
You may ask yourself, "How does reading a newsletter like this help me at home?" The answer to that question is this...We have found that the Home and School Connection newsletter addresses many of the needs identified in the surveys that you have taken. Each month, the newsletter shares new ideas that offer ideas and strategies to you that build positive character traits, make learning fun with simple activities, enhance parenting skills and discipline, and strengthen our family and school relationships and partnerships.
This month, be sure to read the noted sections below that we have highlighted as a focus based on your input:
-Short Notes
-The nitty-gritty on grit
-Be Independent
-Find "lightbulb moments"
-Declare a "do-over"
- Use self-motivation.
-Big project, big success
-Online safety 101
-Math squares: A brain workout
We hope you enjoy the entire newsletter and feel that the highlighted sections above will be great if you only have time to skim the topics.
