Due to Hurricane Dorian’s potential impact on portions of coastal Georgia, select Ware County Schools facilities will be in use as staging points or shelter for those under mandatory evacuation orders. At this time, all Ware County schools will be closed to students Tuesday and Wednesday. The current projected track suggests associated wind and rain may arrive in our area Tuesday night. School officials will continue to monitor developments and partner with EMA and public safety officials to determine the most prudent course of action in response to the approaching storm. The safety of our students, staff and their families will always be our first priority. In any weather emergency, it is essential to rely on accurate, timely information. All official announcements will be made on the Ware County Schools website, via the Ware County Schools Facebook page, and through our Thrillshare notification system. Please check one or more of these sources for updates or information regarding future decisions. Thank you.

Please remember that we have no parent walk-ups during morning and afternoon car dismissal as a safety precaution. We look forward to having a great school year!

Afternoon car dismissal will get better after the first few days of school; as you all are aware, it takes some time to dismiss over 500 students safely and orderly as car riders.

We will also be giving out car tags tomorrow (Wednesday, July 31st) and on Thursday morning of August 1st. All parents will need to have a new car tag due to safety reasons. The orange tags will not be accepted for the 19-20 school year. Thank you in advance.
