Parents, we are sending home a letter today with each student notifying you if you have not completed the Device Form, paid any fines from last school year, and/or not provided a copy of your driver’s license. Please look for this letter so that we can issue your child a Chromebook. Also, we will be available today for another sidewalk drive-up in front of the media center between 12:45-1:30 PM. Any student not having on file the Chromebook Device Form will not be issued a Chromebook. Thanks in advance!

By taking care of this paperwork, Center staff will be able to release the Chromebook to your child. Also, if your child owes a fee for damages, he/she must take care of this fee before another Chromebook can be issued.

Dear Center Parents,
I know firsthand how long our first day of afternoon car rider pickup lasted. I want to thank you for your patience and for your understanding on this first day, and I want you to know that we are implementing several strategies on Day 2 to help alleviate some of the issues from today. I promise you that by Friday we will have our car rider line running like usual! However, please know that when dismissing and loading over 400 car riders that we will do so with safety as our top priority, especially on Day One! Again, thank you for all you do, and I hope that all of our students had a great first day back at Center! We were excited to see them!

DISMISSAL SAFETY INFORMATION
All parents must remain in their vehicles during afternoon pickup. Safety is our ultimate concern, so please do not walk up to the school to pick up your child. Be sure to have your car tag visible to school staff. If you need additional car tags, call the school office to complete a car tag request form.
Car Rider Pick Up: Cars enter from Riverside Drive.
Bus Dismissal: Buses load on Dorothy Street entrance.
We will have extra staff on duty in the mornings and afternoons this week to assist with needs that may arise or to answer questions.

Don’t forget - The deadline to sign students in grades K-12 up for Digital Learning for 2021-2022 is Wednesday, June 9 at 11:59pm. The application is available at bit.ly/WCSDigLearnAppSY22. There is no digital learning option for Pre-K students. Contact us at feedback@ware.k12.ga.us with any questions.
Applications are now being received to participate in Digital Learning for the 2021-2022 school year. Parents/guardians wishing to enroll their child in digital learning must complete the application, located at http://bit.ly/WCSDigLearnAppSY22, in order to enroll. Applications will be accepted through 11:59 pm on Wednesday, June 9, 2021.
Please note: There is NO digital learning option for Pre-K students.
Report Cards for the end of the 2020-2021 school year will be mailed out at the end of this week. They will be mailed to the address in your student's Infinite Campus account. Please remember that if you have any outstanding fees (such as library books, textbooks, Chromebooks, Chromebook damage fines, chargers, etc.) your student's report card will be held until the student's fines are paid in full. School Office hours starting tomorrow will be from 8:00am - 11:00am.
Ware County Schools will hold an ESSER 3 Stakeholder Input meeting on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 5:30pm at the Transportation Department, located behind Wacona Elementary School. The public is invited to attend.
