Have your child write down a weekly goal. Make one for yourself, too.

Write down five of your child’s successes this week and five of your own. Post the list where you can both see it.

Have your child name five jobs that might be interesting to do. Try to help your child interview someone in one of these jobs or fields.

Dual Enrollment Information Night will be held on October 9 from 5:30 - 6:30 in the high school cafeteria. Come learn about how to be part of the Dual Enrollment Program at WCHS! Representatives from CPTC and SGSC will be available for questions after the presentations.


Ask what your child is most looking forward to this school year.

What foods make your child think of autumn? Apples, pears, squash? Choose one and prepare a healthy dish together.

Georgia College and State University will be on campus at WCHS on Tuesday, September 19 from 11:35 am - 1:35 pm in the cafeteria. If this is a college you are interested in, plan to meet with the admissions advisor during your lunch.

When your child asks a question you can’t answer, write it down. Keep a list of questions to look up later.

If you haven’t met your child’s teacher yet, make plans to do so, either in person or online.

This is Library Card Sign-Up Month. Make sure everyone in your family has a library card and knows how to use it.

Discuss your family’s fall routine. Make plans to eat at least four meals a week together.

Find quotations that will motivate your family members. Post one on the bathroom mirror.

Enjoy some physical activity with your family today!

People know their shortcomings. They need you to remind them of their strengths. Share something positive and uplifting with another person today.
