Want to let your teen know you love him or her? Give them a genuine and specific compliment.
Discuss the importance of treating others in the way your teen would like to be treated.
Cut the headline off of a news article. Have your teen read the article and write a headline. Compare the two.
The night before a test, have your teen take five or 10 minutes to get organized for the morning.
On Friday, February 10, 2023, WCHS students will take the Georgia Student Health Survey. The Georgia Student Health Survey is an anonymous and statewide survey instrument that covers various topics such as school climate and safety, peer and adult social support, bullying, mental health, substance abuse, and suicidal ideation. Let your teen see you reading often. This teaches him or her that reading is
important and fun.
Challenge your teen to run your home for the day. Include tasks like laundry, dinner and cleaning.
Expect your teen to attend every class, every day—and to be on time!

Encourage your teen to eliminate pessimistic phrases from his or her vocabulary. Help them think positively.
Teens know their shortcomings. They need you to remind them of their
strengths.
On a day without homework, have your teen use study time to review.
Urge your teen to take class notes, even if the teacher provides a handout.
Keep talking about school. Every day, ask your teen what he or she is learning and thinking about.
Have your teen figure out how many miles your car gets per gallon.
To encourage saving, consider matching your teen’s savings with an equal contribution.
WCHS Celebration of the Arts will be Thursday, March 9 at 7:00pm in the PAC. Admission is Free. There will be a 50/50 raffle and concessions will be available.
Text your teen a supportive message.
When reviewing your teen’s graded work, comment on answers he or she got right before looking at the ones missed.
Talk about ways your teen can set priorities and balance his or her time.
