Mrs. Floyd's class weathered the rainy weather while taking their November CBI trip. They went to Kroger to shop for the ingredients for three recipes from their class's current event articles (The 2022 World Cup, Native American Heritage Month, and Echo the Robot). They shopped from a grocery list and paid for their items through self-checkout. Afterward, they went to McDonald's for lunch. They chose their Happy Meal, paid for their lunch, and played on the playground while they waited for the rain to lessen.
A huge shout-out to an employee at the McDonald's on Memorial for calling Mrs. Floyd at Center to make sure some stuffed animals weren't left behind by her students. She was an amazing cashier who was patient and encouraged the students' communication and social interactions with her.
