Mrs. Shannon Steedley, second-grade teacher announces that congratulations are in order for Will M.! She states that he has mastered his basic facts in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to 12! In February, he completed all of his addition and subtraction facts. This indicates that in the last 2 months he has been very busy learning his multiplication and division facts!
Mrs. Steedley reports that there are several other students in her class who are not far behind him! The challenge is on for other second graders to complete the program before the end of the school year! When students build math fluency, they also build confidence in their math problem-solving skills which is important in solving multi-step word problems! Again, congratulations to Will M. for his very hard work this year! Mr. Tyler A. Bennett is the principal at Center Elementary!
