Memorial Drive STEM Students

Fourth grade students from Memorial Drive Elementary School recently visited South Georgia State College for STEM DAY.  The professors from SGSC held STEM classes for elementary students. The students went to 4 lessons where they were able to engage in a science activity, technology activity, engineering activity, and a math activity. Students worked in groups to build a tower, test magnetism, blast open a bottle, and make an articulated finger with tendons. Dr. Shawn Benefield is principal at Memorial Drive Elementary School.
