A photo of Mrs. Dollie McDowell accepting the Golden Achievement Award

Mrs. Dollie McDowell is the Classified Golden Achievement Award winner for November 2021. Dr. Biff Lee, principal at Waresboro Elementary School, shared the following statement upon the presentation:

"I am honored to recognize Mrs. Dollie McDowell as the classified Golden Achievement recipient for Waresboro Elementary for the 2021-2022 school year. Mrs. Dollie has been a welcoming face at Waresboro since 1986. To say she is a hard worker is an understatement. I have never seen anyone take pride in their craft as much as Mrs. Dollie. Her staff adores her and loves working for her each and every day. Over the past few years, things have changed dramatically in regards to food service, and she has been a team player every step of the way. From summer feedings to hybrid meals, Ms. Dollie has tackled each of these tasks with a smile on her face. Personally, Mrs. Dollie has experienced a great loss this year, yet comes to work ready to tackle the day and offer a smile and kind word to all that she encounters. We are all better people for the opportunity to work alongside this amazing lady each day. She is an inspiration and a blessing to us all."

Congratulations, Mrs. McDowell! She is pictured here with Dr. Lee and Superintendent Bert Smith.
