Essay Contest Winners

Ware County Schools is proud to announce the winners of its America250 Essay Contest, held in honor of America's upcoming 250th birthday celebration.

Students were invited to respond to the prompt:

"What does America mean to you, and how do you see America in the next 250 years?"

The contest challenged students to reflect on the values, opportunities, and responsibilities that define America while imagining what the nation could become for future generations.

The 2026 America250 Essay Contest winners are:

  • PK–Kindergarten: Abundio M. (not pictured)

  • 1st–2nd Grade: Mariah K.

  • 3rd–5th Grade: Addy M.

  • 6th–8th Grade: Sam Smith

  • 9th–12th Grade: Jaden M.

The winning essays highlighted themes of freedom, perseverance, innovation, unity, and hope for the future. Through their writing, these students demonstrated thoughtful reflection on America's history and an inspiring vision for the generations to come.

Ware County Schools congratulates each winner and thanks all participating students for sharing their ideas and perspectives as we join communities across the nation in commemorating this historic milestone.
