Ware County Schools is proud to announce Mrs. Linsey Hayman as the new Assistant Principal of Ruskin Elementary School.
Mrs. Hayman brings nearly two decades of experience, dedication, and heart to her new leadership role. A familiar and trusted presence within the Ruskin community, she has spent all 19 years of her educational career serving students and staff at Ruskin Elementary.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Hayman has worked in a variety of instructional and support roles, including teaching 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades, serving as an MTSS interventionist, and most recently leading instructional support efforts as the school’s Instructional Coach for the past five years.
A graduate of Georgia Southern University, Mrs. Hayman says her approach to education is rooted in service, collaboration, and encouragement.
“I lead with consistency, collaboration, and a heart for students, always striving to support both teachers and families in helping every child succeed,” Hayman shared.
Mrs. Hayman is especially passionate about teaching students how to read and believes that positive encouragement can make a lasting impact on a school community. Her leadership style reflects the same warmth and steadiness that many Ruskin families and staff members have come to know over the years.
When asked what she hopes students feel when they walk into school each day, she said:
“I hope every student feels safe, loved, and welcome, and confident that they can learn, grow, and succeed.”
Mrs. Hayman also shared a piece of advice she would give her younger self:
“Don’t be afraid of making mistakes. Every mistake is a chance to learn and grow, and you don’t have to be perfect to succeed.”
Outside of school, she enjoys spending time at the beach, working puzzles, and enjoying a good cup of coffee with family and friends.
Ruskin Elementary’s Jaguar community will continue to benefit from Mrs. Hayman’s servant leadership, instructional experience, and deep commitment to students as she steps into this new role alongside Principal Dr. Erin Harvey.
