At the recent Ware County Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Dr. Lynn Barber and members of the Board recognized two outstanding representatives of the district’s ESOL program for their achievement and service.
Each year, the state ESOL Language Program, in collaboration with the statewide English Learner Advisory Committee, honors one exemplary English Learner student and one exemplary ESOL teacher from each school district in Georgia.
This year, Ware County Schools proudly recognized:
Hillary D. — Exemplary English Learner
Carol Reed — Exemplary ESOL Teacher
Students selected for the Exemplary English Learner recognition must maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA while demonstrating leadership, exemplary character, and outstanding behavior. Hillary Doan was selected for her academic achievement, leadership, and positive example among her peers.
Carol Reed was selected by the district ESOL Teacher Team as the Exemplary ESOL Teacher. This recognition honors educators who make a meaningful impact on English learners through professionalism, leadership, and dedication to students and families.
Ware County Schools congratulates both honorees on this well-deserved recognition and thanks them for representing the district with excellence.
