Congrats

Congratulations to Mrs. Katie Collins and Mrs. Tracey Davis, the certified and classified Golden Achievement Award Winners from Ware County High School for September 2025. In his speech, Principal Dr. Tyrone Kellogg shared the following:

"Ware County High School is proud to recognize Katie Collins as our Certified Employee for the month. Mrs. Collins serves in the Healthcare department for the CTAE program, bringing a wealth of real-world experience to our students.

"Before joining WCHS, Mrs. Collins worked as a Registered Nurse for over 15 years at our local hospital, including Memorial Satilla, Mayo Clinic, and HCA. She has served in a variety of critical areas, including the main floor, ICU/CCU, outpatient surgery, and the pre-op clinic. This diverse and extensive clinical background enables Mrs. Collins to offer students a unique, hands-on perspective of the healthcare field that goes beyond the textbook.

"Katie’s passion for healthcare is not only evident in her work but also in the way she teaches. She cares deeply for her students, always going above and beyond to ensure they not only understand the material but also feel confident and prepared for their future careers in healthcare. Her enthusiasm for the profession is contagious, inspiring students to pursue their dreams with the same dedication and compassion that she brings to her own work.

"Her ability to connect with students, paired with her genuine care for their success, makes Mrs. Collins an exceptional educator and mentor. We are grateful to have her as part of the WCHS family and look forward to seeing the continued positive impact she has on her students."
