Ware County Schools proudly announces Mr. Andrew Dent, a teacher at Ware County High School, as the 2025–2026 District Teacher of the Year.
Mr. Dent was first recognized as Ware County High School’s Teacher of the Year before advancing to the district-level competition, where he was selected from among outstanding educators representing every school in the district.
Known for his engaging teaching style and his commitment to student success, Mr. Dent creates a classroom environment where students are challenged, supported, and inspired to reach their potential. Colleagues describe him as a leader among peers, a mentor to students, and a professional who consistently goes above and beyond.
“Mr. Dent exemplifies what it means to be an educator in Ware County,” said Superintendent Dr. Lynn Barber. “He is dedicated to his students, respected by his colleagues, and a true representative of excellence in our schools.”
As District Teacher of the Year, Mr. Dent will now represent Ware County in the Georgia Teacher of the Year program.
