Mrs. Tammie Terry is the December 2023 Classified Golden Achievement Award winner. Her principal, Dr. Bill Epps, shared the following when presenting the award.
“It is my honor to recognize Mrs. Tammie Terry as the Classified Golden Gator recipient for Williams Heights Elementary School for the 2023-2024 school term. Behind the scenes, there are often unsung heroes who contribute significantly to the smooth functioning of a school, and our custodian, Mrs. Terry, is undoubtedly one such hero. Her dedication to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both students and staff is nothing short of commendable.
“Mrs. Tammie goes above and beyond her duties, ensuring that every corner of the school is spotless and well-maintained. Her meticulous attention to detail is evident in the gleaming hallways, impeccably kept classrooms, and sanitary facilities, creating an atmosphere conducive to effective learning.
“What truly sets Mrs. Terry apart is her positive and friendly demeanor. Despite the demanding nature of her job, she greets everyone with a warm smile and is always willing to lend a helping hand. Whether it's fixing a minor issue or coordinating with other staff to address larger maintenance concerns, Mrs. Terry tackles each task with a can-do attitude. Her commitment to the well-being of the school community extends beyond her custodial responsibilities; she takes pride in creating a clean and organized space that enhances the overall experience for students, teachers, and visitors alike. In recognizing Mrs. Terry, we acknowledge the integral role she plays in shaping a positive and conducive learning environment for all within our school.”
