We have been in contact with the power companies that service our region and understand that many residents are still without power. Several of our schools are also affected by outages.
We understand the challenges families are facing in recovering from Hurricane Idalia. In light of these circumstances, all Ware County school facilities and the Central Office will remain closed on Friday, September 1, 2023 for staff and students.
NOTE: The football game scheduled for 9/1/2023 will still be played at Memorial Stadium.
Monday, September 4th is the Labor Day holiday, so the earliest we expect to resume normal operations is Tuesday, September 5. We will use our communication channels, including Thrillshare, Facebook, and our website, to announce our reopening date.
