Matt Collins, assistant principal at Ware County High School and WCS Athletic Director, has been named the interim principal at Ware County Middle School to finish out the 2022-2023 school year. Principal Dr. Shawn Benefield has accepted a new position as testing coordinator for the district and has begun cross-training for her new role. Congratulations, Dr. Benefield. We are so proud of your promotion!
While Mr. Collins will fulfill the daily responsibilities of leading the school effective immediately, Dr. Benefield will return to campus for important end-of-the-year activities such as Honors Day programs.
