Mrs. Rene' Crews is the Certified Golden Achievement Award Winner for March 2023. Principal Loni Hines presented the award at tonight's board meeting, noting:
"It is with great pleasure that Memorial Drive Elementary School recognizes Mrs. Rene’ Crews as our Certified Golden Achievement recipient for the 22-23 school year. Mrs. Crews wears many important hats in our school. She is a phenomenal special education teacher, Academic Quiz Bowl Advisor, National Elementary Honor Society Advisor, and SpEd Mentor. She also co-leads the staff's weekly devotion. However, it is not the titles that make Mrs. Crews stand out. It is the passion she has for teaching and the meaningful relationships that she creates with students to help motivate and encourage them to do their best. She truly gets to know her students and helps them in any way possible. She is a quiet leader, a behind-the-scenes influencer who is often the glue keeping a grade-level team together. She is dependable and the best cheerleader for our students. Thank you, Mrs. Crews. We appreciate all that you do for our students, staff, and parents."
