March 6 - 10, 2023 is National School Social Work Week! We are grateful to have four amazing school social workers on staff to help advocate for our students' emotional, mental, and physical well-being. Their duties include conducting home visits, connecting students and their families with helpful resources, and helping students, families, and staff address problems such as truancy, social withdrawal, abuse, and crisis prevention. Theirs is a heavy load to bear, but they do it with professionalism and excellency. Give our school social workers a shout-out to thank them for their part in helping students be successful, both inside and outside of the classroom: Sandy Osburn, Jared King, Debra Thomas, and Cindy Russ.
