WareWISE

Ware County Schools recently celebrated the third year of Ware WISE (Where Industry and School Professionals Excel) with a recognition luncheon honoring participating teachers and business partners.

Ware WISE was created to strengthen the connection between education and industry by providing educators with firsthand experiences in local workplaces. Through teacher externships, educators gain valuable insight into career opportunities, workforce expectations, and industry needs throughout the Ware County community. They then bring these experiences back to their classrooms, helping students make meaningful connections between their education and future careers.

This year's business partners included Baptist Village, Enviva, Memorial Satilla Health, and The Okefenokee Swamp Park. During the luncheon, teachers shared reflections on their externship experiences and discussed how they plan to incorporate what they learned into their classrooms. Teachers received Certificates of Completion, and business partners were recognized with plaques of appreciation for their support of the program.

Now in its third year, Ware WISE continues to grow through strong partnerships between schools and local industries, helping prepare students for future educational and career opportunities.
