Chris Williams Golden Achievement Award Winner

Congratulations to Mr. Chris Williams, the classified Golden Achievement Award Winner for the month of January 2022.

Wacona Elementary Principal Jeri Ray made the presentation, noting the following:

On behalf of Wacona Elementary School, I would like to recognize Mr. Chris Williams as the classified Golden Achievement Award winner for the 2021-22 school year. Mr. Williams has been at Wacona for 14 years and is the head Custodian at Wacona Elementary School. He rolls up his sleeves to get the work done and always helps in any way possible.

Even while facing some personal medical issues last school year, Mr. Williams persevered and worked tirelessly to keep Wacona running smoothly. He works hard each day to keep our school clean, safe, and comfortable for the staff and students. He is flexible, compassionate, always wears a smile, and brings joy to those around him. He goes above and beyond his job description every day, quietly watching over our students in the hallways and making sure nothing seems out of place. He even helps teachers move and arrange furniture after-hours with a smile on his face.

It is evident through his hard work and commitment that he cares deeply for the staff and students at Wacona. Thank you, Mr. Williams, for being a role model, for getting our school ready for visitors, for putting in the late hours, for always saying hello, for always being willing to lend a helping hand, and most importantly for caring for our students. We appreciate you!
