Ware County Schools is proud to recognize Mrs. LeAnna Hiers of Wacona Elementary as the 2025–2026 District Support Staff of the Year.
Mrs. Hiers was selected after being honored as Wacona Elementary’s Support Staff of the Year and then advancing to the district-level recognition. She was chosen from among an exceptional group of school-level honorees representing every campus in Ware County.
Known for her professionalism, kindness, and dedication, Mrs. Hiers plays an essential role in creating a welcoming and supportive school environment. She is admired by colleagues for her teamwork and by students for the warmth and care she shows each day.
“Mrs. Hiers embodies the heart of our support staff,” said Superintendent Dr. Lynn Barber. “Her commitment to our students and her positive influence on our school community remind us that every role in education makes a difference.”
