Congratulations

Ruskin Elementary School recently recognized Micah Harrell and Patricia Salgado as its Golden Achievement Award recipients at the August 2026 Board Meeting. Principal Dr. Erin Harvey presented the awards in recognition of the exceptional contributions both employees make to their students, colleagues, and school community.

Harrell, Ruskin’s Certified Golden Achievement Award recipient, was recognized for his dedication to creating engaging learning experiences that spark curiosity and encourage students to grow. He consistently seeks opportunities to strengthen his own professional practice and invites community members into his classroom to help connect instruction with meaningful, real-world experiences.

His influence also reaches beyond his classroom. Harrell leads weekly devotionals for colleagues and works intentionally to inspire his students to become the best versions of themselves. Dr. Harvey described him as an inspiration to those he encounters and someone who exemplifies the qualities represented by the Golden Achievement Award.

Salgado, Ruskin’s Classified Golden Achievement Award recipient, was honored for the dedication, teamwork, and spirit of service she brings to the school each day. Whether taking on a new task at a moment’s notice or simply lending a helping hand, Salgado consistently demonstrates a willingness to support those around her.

She is also known for the reassuring and calming presence she brings to Ruskin. Her warmth and encouragement help others feel valued, while her reliability and quiet strength make her an important part of the school community.

Ware County Schools congratulates Micah Harrell and Patricia Salgado on this well-deserved recognition and thanks them for the many ways they serve Ruskin Elementary and its students.
