Congrats

Congratulations to our April 2026 Golden Achievement Award Winners, Mrs. Natasha Spradley and Ms. Stephanie Collins. Daffodil Pre-K Principal Dr. Shawanna Johnson shared the following when presenting the awards at the board meeting:

“It is my honor to recognize Mrs. Natasha Spradley as Daffodil Pre-K’s Golden Achievement recipient for Certified Staff. Mrs. Spradley is an exceptional teacher leader who shows love and compassion in everything she does. She is adored by her students, respected by her colleagues, and deeply valued by our entire Daffodil family.

“Mrs. Spradley serves as our Professional Development Chairperson, ensuring that both certified and classified staff engage in meaningful training that strengthens instruction and supports the social and emotional development of our students. She also leads our Graduation Committee, where she works tirelessly to plan a memorable celebration for our preschoolers—coordinating everything from caps and gowns to programs and practice schedules that honor each child’s growth and achievement.

“In addition, Mrs. Spradley is a key member of our Technology Team, supporting both students and teachers while also creating schoolwide communications for our families. Known as our ‘poster-making queen,’ she brings beauty and color to our building, filling our halls and classrooms with vibrant displays that reflect the joy of learning.

“Mrs. Spradley is always willing to lend a helping hand, and she does so with a constant smile and positive attitude. Her strong work ethic and servant’s heart remind us daily how fortunate we are to have her as part of the Daffodil Pre-K family. Congratulations, Mrs. Spradley.

“It is also my pleasure to recognize Ms. Stephanie Collins as Daffodil Pre-K’s Golden Achievement recipient for Classified Staff. Ms. Collins is a dedicated member of our School Nutrition team who goes above and beyond each day to care for our students and staff.

“She arrives early to prepare nutritious, delicious meals and greets our students with a smile—and often a dance—as they enter the lunchroom. Her joyful spirit is contagious, and she consistently brings encouragement and positivity to those around her, sharing words of wisdom that inspire both students and staff.

“Ms. Collins has a true passion for cooking, and her meals are a favorite among our school community. From her signature pound cake to her turkey and dressing, chicken tenders, and buttery grits, she makes sure every child is well-fed and cared for.

“In addition to her daily responsibilities, Ms. Collins serves as a leader and mentor to new nutrition staff, ensuring that meals are prepared and served with excellence and that the kitchen operates smoothly and safely. She demonstrates kindness and generosity in all she does, giving an extra scoop of love to everyone she serves.

“Ms. Collins’ caring heart and strong work ethic make her an invaluable part of our Daffodil family. Congratulations, Ms. Collins.”
