Ruskin students display collected goodsa

Ruskin Elementary School’s National Elementary Honor Society students coordinated their annual Holiday Food Drive to support the local Salvation Army's Christmas Assistance Program. This program provides assistance to local families in need during the holiday season. In a spirit of generosity, students throughout the school demonstrated their joy for giving to others by donating hundreds of food items. Mrs. Janet McClellan and Mrs. Nakia Simpson’s Kindergarten class will be treated to a pizza party, by the Salvation Army, for donating the most cans throughout this project. Ruskin Elementary donated a total of 577 canned-food and non-perishable items to needy families during the holiday season. Donna Solomon is the principal of Ruskin Elementary School.
