Melissa Shields is the November Golden Achievement Award Winner
Congratulations to Mrs. Melissa Shields, the November Certified Golden Achievement Award Winner for Waresboro Elementary School. Upon presenting the award, Principal Dr. Biff Lee noted:

“On behalf of Waresboro Elementary School, I would like to honor Mrs. Melissa Shields as the certified Golden Achievement winner for the 2020-2021 school year.  It is difficult to think about Waresboro Elementary without first thinking of Mrs. Shields.  Often times, it seems as if the two are synonymous. She has remained committed to this school for her entire career.  She began her educational journey at Waresboro in 1992, teaching 3rd grade for 20 years and serving as the writing instructor for 3 years. She is currently titled as the school’s Instructional Coach and has served in this capacity for 7 years. Mrs. Shields has touched countless lives and continues to do so each and every day; she simply makes everyone around her better.  After 28 years, she is still at the top of her game always looking for ways to help others.  Thank you Mrs. Shields for all you do and have done for our staff, our students, and for me. Your countless contributions to Waresboro Elementary are appreciated by all.”
