Waycross Middle School students competed at the MathCounts Competition in Valdosta on February 19, 2020. The 8th grade team placed 2nd overall. Team members included Ka Hei L., Cody P., Lauren H., and Isabelle L. In addition, Ka Hei L. placed 2nd individual overall; he will go on to compete at the state level in March.
Other math team members that represented Waycross Middle at the competition are Stella K., Keeli H., William B., Cole C., Molly S., Vedika D., Anaiyah E., Kevin L., and Rylee M. Mrs. Fales, 7th grade math teacher, stated “I am so proud of how these students performed at the MathCounts competition. Mrs. Barber (8th grade math teacher) and I are looking forward to our next math competition in March at Valdosta State University.”
