Ware Co. VB 🏀 lost to Archer in the @ClassicToc 69-60 in Wheeler County. The Gators move to 8-6 on the season. The Boys will be in action again in Wheeler county as they tipoff with top ranked Hillgrove at 1:00 PM. Athletic Results 12/21/2023: The Gator Basketball teams traveled over to Brunswick to compete in their Christmas Tournament. The Lady Gators faced off with Tift County as Ridgeland had to back out of the tournament for unknown reasons. The Lady Gators competed hard but fell by a score of 64 - 46. The Lady Gators are not 7 - 2 overall. The Varsity Boys squared off with Brunswick and defeated the Pirates by a score of 80 - 65. The Gators are now sitting at 7 - 4 overall. Next Up Friday 12/22/2023: Lady Gators take on Warner Robins in Brunswick. Tipoff is set for 4:00 PM. Varsity Boys take on Glynn Academy in Brunswick at 5:30 PM. As Always, It was a great day to be a Gator. First off our wrestling team traveled over to Brantley County and came away with the win by a score of 48 - 31. The now 5 - 1 JV Boys won by a score of 54 - 32. The Varsity girls defeated the Hurricanes by a score of 50 - 29 and are now 7 - 1 overall, and the Varsity Boys ousted the Hurricanes by a score of 63 - 49 and are now 5 - 4 overall. Go Gators!

Ware County Gator Athletic Results 12/16/2023: It was a very busy weekend for the Gator Wrestling Team as Coach Eichfeld carried his wrestling team over to Yulee Florida for a 2 day Friday and Saturday Dual Tournament. The Gators went 7 - 2 and finished second in the field. In round 1, the Gators defeated Charlton by a score of 62 - 12. In round 2, the Gators defeated Beachside by a score of 60 - 16. In round three, the Gators fell in a hard fought dual to Fernandina Beach by a score of 35 - 45. In round four, the Gators ran away in the 66 - 9 dual to Bolles. In round five, the Gators defeated Ridgeview by a score of 38 - 33 leading into the win over Steinbrenner by a score of 44 - 34. Round seven put the Gators against Ed White where they came away with a 72 - 6 victory followed by the round nine victory over University Christian by a shutout score of 78 - 0. The Finals put the Gators against the host Yulee High School where they fell just short of winning the tournament by a score of 30 - 43. The Gators are now 23 - 7 in dual action for the season. In basketball Action this weekend, Coach Lingenfelter and Coach Williams carried the Gator Basketball teams over to Clinch County on Friday for four games. The JV Girls came away with the win by a score of 48 - 16, the JV Boys came away with a win by a score of 28 - 22. In Varsity Action, the Lady Gators came away with the win with a score of 62 - 38 while the Varsity Boys fell in Overtime by a score of 65 - 57. On Saturday, the Gator Basketball team was again on the road in Worth County as they took on the Rams in both JV and Varsity Action. The JV Girls defeated Worth County by a score of 46 - 9. The Varsity Girls came away after some adversity with a 63 - 36 victory. The Varsity Boys ended the night with a victory over the Rams by a score of 79 - 60. Huge congrats to our Gator Basketball teams. We also want to give a huge shoutout to our Waycross Middle Bulldogs Girls and Boys Basketball teams for coming away with the SEGMSC Championship this weekend.

Athletic Results 12/12/2023: It was a very busy day for the Gators yesterday. The wrestling team traveled over to Tift County to take on the &A Powerhouse Blue Devils. The Gators fell in a hard fault 42 - 36 dual and move now to 16 - 5 in Dual Action. The Gator Basketball team traveled over to Hinesville to open up Region play last night. The JV boys fell by a score of 57 - 28. The Varsity Girls could not overcome multiple turnovers and fell by a score of 38 - 35. The Lady Gators are now 4 -1 overall and 0 -1 Region 1 - 5A. The Varsity Boys also had a tough day falling to Bradwell by a score of 70 - 50. The Varsity Boys are now 4 - 3 overall and 0 - 1 in the region. Go Gators!

Athletic Results 12/9/2023 It was a very busy weekend for the Gators.  First off the Wrestling team traveled to Effingham for the 22nd Rebel invitational.  The Gators finished 3rd out of 24 teams with six placers.  Jordan Maxwell competed at the 113 lb weight class and finished 6th.  Rodrigo Reyes competed at the 126 lb weight class and finished 5th.  Gunter Fore competed at the 157 lb weight class and finished 6th.  Wyatt Deal competed at the 175 lb weight class and was the tournament champion.  Noah Lucas competed at the 190 lb weight class and came in second.  While Jebare George competed at the 285 lb weight class and lost to the defending state champion to finish 2nd.  For complete team and individual results, please visit www.warecountywrestling.com.  In Basketball action, the 9th grade teams hosted and swept Coffee County in the Gator Den.  The 9th Grade Girls came away with the victory by a score of 37 - 29 while the 9th Grade Boys won by a score of 51 - 36.  The Varsity Girls team was off while the Varsity Boys team traveled to Wheeler High School to take on Heritage High in the Battle at the Peach.  The Gators fell in a tough one by a score of 51 - 37.  Our Gator Swim Team Hosted the Gator Invitational and both girls and boys came in second out of the 4 and 5 team field respectively. The Gator Basketball teams had a huge Friday evening Vs. Glynn Academy. The JV Girls defeated Glynn by a score of 44 - 11. The JV Boys would follow this with a win by a score of 51 - 20. The Varsity action netted the Lady Gators win number 2 on the evening by ousting the Terrors by a score of 53 - 48. The Varsity Boys would play a very hard fault game but fell in a nail biter by a score of 76 - 74. Up next for the Gators Basketball Team will be Tuesday 12/5/2023 in the Gator Den as we host the Herons of Brantley County. Action will start at 4:00 PM with the JV Boys. Varsity Girls will tipoff at 6:00 PM. The nightcap will be the Varsity Boys scheduled for 7:30 PM. Athletic Results 11/29/2023 Basketball: -9th Grade Girls Over Camden 37 - 22 -JV Girls fall to Camden 47 - 39 -JV Boys Over Camden 55 - 44 Swim: Ware County Lady Gator Swimmer Sophie Cochran will be going to compete at State in the Girls 100 yard Breaststroke in the coming weeks. Sophie had a qualifying time of 1:14.24 for her event. Ware Co Boys 200 yard Freestyle Relay team are State Bound! The Boys were able to make a State Qualifying time of 1:39.98 tonight at the Ware County Gator Crawl Invitational. The swimmers include Matthew McIntire, Evan Chaney, Matthew Davis and Joshua Smith. In team results the girls finished 4th while the boys finished 5th in the meet. GO Gators!
