Gator Athletics 5/6/2024:
-Track traveled to Decatur to compete in the GHSA 5A East Sectionals. The Boys ended their season while the girls will be sending to the State Track Meet LaNeeya Garrison in the Triple Jump, Natalya Miller in the Shot Put and Discus, Samantha - Savinon Rios in the 3200 M Run, and Destiny Finley in the shot put. Congratulations to Coach Gibson and all of the athletes.
-Girls Golf competed in Commerce for the 5A East Sectional and came away in fourth place with a score of 284 meaning that both Girls and Boys will be represented at the State 5A Golf Tournament. Individual results are as follows: Annslee Kate Grantham scored a 110. Lillie Livingston scored a 97, Eevyy Griffin scored a 96, Kate Thomas and Anniston Grantham sored a 94. Huge congratulations to Coach Wheeler and all of the Lady Gator Golfers.
-Gator Baseball defeated GAC in the rubber game by a score of 8 - 2, advancing them to the GHSA State 5A Semifinals vs. Carterville at home. The Miles - Odum Players of the Game were Noah Bunch, Landon Smallwood, Slade Sweat, Walker Hudson The series will be a Friday Double Header and Saturday “IF”: Game this week with times to be announced. Tickets for the Double Header will be set at $10 and $7.00 for the single on Saturday and can be purchased online at GoFan.co only.

It was a busy weekend for the Gators.
-Boys and Girls Track teams headed to Greenbrier for the GHSA 5A East Sectional. The elements got everyone and the meet had to be postponed until today and will be held at MLK High School.
-The Bass fishing team competed in the State Championship tournament at Clark’s Hill and competed well. Colt Cox and Grant Geiger came away with five fish for a total weigh in of 8 pounds 4 ounces. Official results are not available at this time.
-The Baseball Team hosted GAC out at Gator Field for the opening Double Header of the Elite 8 of the 5A GHSA State Playoffs. The Gators split by falling in game one by a score of 1 - 5 and coming away with the shutout win in game two by a score of 3 - 0. The Miles - Odum Players of the game were Cole Cox, Evan Joiner, Walker Hudson, and Evan Pearson. Game three of the series will be played in Monday out at Gator Field with the first pitch set at 5:00 PM. Tickets will be set at $7.00 and can be purchased online at gofan.co only.

-Gator Golf Team competed in the Region 1 - 5A tournament at Georgia National in McDonough, GA. The Lady Gators finished third and will have to qualify for the State tournament. Anniston Grantham was the low medalist shooting a 76. Kate Thomas shot a 123, Lillie Livingston shot a 121, and Eevy Griffin shot a 106.
-The Boys ended up in a tie with Coffee and had to play the first hole and came away with the victory and Region 15a Championship. Collin Brown shot an 83, Mac Dean shot an 84, Jackson Ray shot an 81, Eli Taft shot a 79, Asher Dean shot a 92, and Trace Carter came away in the sudden death Victory by shooting a 75.

-The Gator Baseball team hosted Union Grove in the second round of the GHSA State Playoffs in the rubber game of the series. The Gators came away with the Series win by a score of 9 - 1. The Miles Odum Players of the Game were Noah Bunch and Seth Suess. .The Elite 8 of the GHSA State 5A Playoffs will be hosted at Gator Field on Saturday with a double header. Games times will be agreed on and announced at some point today. The “If” Game will be played on Monday at Gator field with times to be announced. Tickets for Saturday’s Double Header will be set at $10.00 and will be available through GoFan.co only.

Gator Baseball hosted Union Grove in the second round of the GHSA State Playoffs in a double header. In game 1 the Gators fell by a score of 5 - 1. In Game 2 the Gators won by a score of 11 - 5. The Miles - Odum Players of the Game were Bryce Dixon, Landon Smallwood, Cole Cox, Walker Hudson, and Noah Bunch. Game three will be played tomorrow with the first pitch set for 11 - 5. Gator Baseball hosted Tucker High school out at Gator Field for the first round of the GHSA 5A State Baseball Playoffs. The Gators were able to sweep Tucker in the double header by winning game one by a score of 15 - 0 and winning game two by a score of 13 - 2. The Miles - Odum Players of the Game were Cole Cox, Evan Joiner, Noah Bunch, and Walker Hudson. The Gators will play in the Second Round of the GHSA Baseball State 5A Playoffs in a Double Header on Monday April 29, 2024 with the “IF” game to be played on Tuesday April 30, 2024. We will host this series out at Gator Field against Union Grove. Times are still to be announced. Tickets for the series will be set at $10.00 for the Double Header and $7.00 for the single game and can be purchased online at gofan.co only.

-Girls and Boys Golf Teams traveled over to Brunswick to compete in a multi team event. The Lady Gators had to be stopped short and did not record scores.
-As far as the Boys match went, the boys defeated Brunswick by a score of 161 - 164. Individual results are as follows: Brody Martin scored a 50, Collin Brown scored a 43, Jackson Ray scored a 41, Eli Taft scored a 44, Asher Dean scored a 43, and Trace Carter was the low score with a 34.

Gator Athletics 4/22/2024
This past weekend our Bass Fishing team was in action at Lake Hartwell for the final qualifier for the GHSA State Bass Fishing Tournament. Results are as follows: Cody Gay and Clary Kinnon 5 fish for 8lbs 9 oz, Grant Geiger and Colt Cox 5 fish 6 bs 4 oz, Austin Pierce and Will Griffin 3 fish 4 lbs 2 oz, Waylon Smith and Marc Taylor 3 fish 3 lbs 12 oz. The Boys and Girls Golf teams competed at the GSU GOlf Club on Saturday. Our Lady Gators finished in 4th overall with a total score of 297. Individual results are as follows: Anniston Grantham - 91, Kate Thomas - 111, Eevy Griffin - 96, Annslee Kate Grantham - 110. As far as the Boys results, The Gators finished second overall with a score of 324. Individual results are as follows: Trace Carter - 74, Asher Dean - 92, Eli Taft - 84, Jackson Ray - 84, Mac Dean - 82, and Collin Brown - 87. Trace Carter was the Low medalist for the tournament. Congratulations to the boys and girls golf teams as well as the coaching staff. Go Gators!
