Athletic Results 3/4/2024
-Our Girls Golf Team traveled over to Coffee County were not able to complete the round so there are no results to report.
-Our JV Baseball team hosted Brantley County for a double header and defeated the Herons in game 1 by a score of 10 - 2 and 7 - 4 in Game 2. The JV Baseball Team is now 6 - 1 overall and 3 - 1 in conference play.
-Our JV Soccer teams traveled over to Cook County to take on the Hornets. The JV Girls won the match by a score of 2 - 0. The JV Boys defeated Cook by a score of 2 - 1.
-It was a strong day overall for all of the Gator Teams in action.

Athletic Results, Saturday 3/2/2024: The Girls and Boys Weight Lifting Team competed in the State Weightlifting meet in Heard County. The Boys team came in runner up in the state with Demetrius Baldwin, Nick Simmons, Jabare George, and Zee Adamson winning their weight class. On the Girls end, individual winners were Aleya Shears, Jada Evans, and Charlacia Jones. Huge Congrats to the weight lifting team for their performance. Also, we are very proud of our Literary team that traveled to Coffee and won the Region 1 - 5A Championship. Individual winners were Amiyah Elam in Dramatic Oral Interpretation, Izzy Lefand in Humorous Oral Interpretation, and the Oral Interpretation Duo of Izzy Lefand and Kierson Fort. Lauren Moore won the Girls Music Solo. The Music Trio Team of Quiara Jenkins, Logan Markette, Kyra Turlington came away with first place as well as Kamani Gainer, Caleb Ker, Jose Lopez, and Travis Johnson won the Music Quartet. Go Gators!
Athletic Results 3/1/2024: The Gator Guns Rifle Team hosted Madison County out at the Rifle Range for the Semi Finals of the GHSA State Rifling Tournament. The Gators Guns came away with a convincing win by an overall score of 1152 with 59 center shots to Madison’s 1090 with 33 center shots. Top Gators were Macy Tatum, Austin Griffis, Gabrielle Howard, Makayla Whitley, and Neve Smoak. -Soccer hosted Statesboro in another Region 1 - 5A showdown. The Lady Gators fell by a score of 0 - 4. The Boys fell in a double overtime by a score of 2 - 3. Jose Delgadilo scored a header early in the match and Yair Dixon scored a nice goal from a huge distance in the first half. -Gator Baseball defeated a highly ranked 6A TCC by a score of 6 - 4. Players of the game were Landon Smallwood from the mound and Evan Pearson gaining the lead with a three run homer. Congrats to all of the Gator Baseball players and coaches on a tremendous effort. Athletic Results 2/29/2024: -Lady Gators Tennis fell to Wayne County by an overall match score of 2 - 3. Individual set score winners came from Bailey Denton and Makayla Moore. Boys Tennis: the Gators had an overall match score win of 5 - 0 with individual wins from James Willingham, William Bates, and Isaiah Collins. Doubles wins came from Tyler Monroe and JV Manobat and Nick Simmons and Cash Carter. -Our Varsity Boys Golf Team traveled over to Camden County and came out on top with an overall score of 167 to Camden’s 168. -Varsity Baseball Team hosted and fell to Wayne County by a score of 2 - 5 in a hard fault game. Athletic Results 2/28/2024: JV Tennis team hosted Glynn Academy. Our JV Girls fell overall by a match score of 2 - 3 with Ella Beth Cox coming away with the 8 - 2 set win, and the doubles team of Layla Pittman and Chyna Baker coming away with the set win of 8 - 2. Our JV Boys team fell to Glynn by an overall match score of 1 - 4 with Jacob Paige coming away with the individual set score of 8 - 3. Also, our JV Soccer Teams traveled over to Jeff - Davis to take on the Yellow Jackets. The JV Girls fell by a score of 1 - 4 and are now 2 - 3 overall while the JV Boys fell by a score of 0 - 2. Finally, our JV Baseball Team hosted the Vikings of Lowndes County out at Gator Field. The Gators came away with the big win by a score of 10 - 6. The Gators are now 4 - 1 overall. Go Gators!

The Varsity Boys fell by a match score of 1 - 4 with James Willingham getting the set score wins of 6 - 4 and 7 - 5. - Varsity Girls Soccer team fell to Coffee in a Region 1 - 5A matchup by a score of 1 - 3 and are now 1 - 2 in Region Play. -Varsity Boys Soccer Boys fell to Coffee by a score of 0 - 2 and are now 0 - 3 in Region Play. -JV Boys Soccer team traveled over to Long County to take on the Tide. The JV Boys fell to the Tide by a score of 1 - 3.
-Baseball traveled over to Brantley County to take on the Herons in Caney Bay. The Gators defeated the Herons in a shutout by a score of 5 - 0. The Miles Odum Players of the Game were Evan Joiner with the shutout. Also Seth Seuss with a great day at the plate going 4 for 4.

Athletic Results Saturday 2/24/2024:
-JV Girls Soccer traveled over to TCC for the TCC Cup. The Lady Gators went 1 - 1 on the day defeating West Over by a score of 5 - 0 and falling to Sherwood Christian by a score of 0 - 5. The JV Boys fell to Sherwood Christian by a score of 1 - 3 and Colquitt by a score of 0 - 4.
-Varsity Baseball traveled over to TCC to compete against the AAAAAAA South Forsyth Ware Eagles. The Gators fought hard but fell in a defensive battle by a score of 1 - 2.
-Our Boys Golf team traveled over to St. Mary’s to compete in the Camden Classic. It was a tough day with tough competition and the Gators came away in 10th overall. Low medalist for the Gators was Trace Carter in 3rd place scoring a 71.

Athletic Results 2/23/2024: Varsity Girls Basketball fell in the second round of the GHSA State Playoffs to Jones County by a score of 34 - 32. Varsity Girls Soccer defeated Bradwell Institute* by a score of 6 - 2. Arianna Davis scored a hat trick with three goals, Abby Hendrix, Raleigh Tuten, and Molly Chhin each scored a goal. Molly Chhin's dominance scored her Woman of the Match award. Arianna Davis also earned Woman of the Match for her hat trick. Varsity Boys Soccer fell to Bradwell Institute* by a score of 1 - 0. The Player of the game was Cole Thrift. Rifle hosted Columbus today for the GHSA Rifle Sectional and won by a score of 1152 with 62 center shots to Columbus's 1121 with 42 center shots. Top Gators for the evening were Austin Griffis, Macy Tatum, Gabrielle Howard, Makayla Whitley, and Neve Smoak. Go Gators!

Athletic Results 2/22/2024: JV Baseball team Jeff - Davis - and fell by a score of 8 - 2. Our Tennis teams hosted Jeff - Davis at WCHS High School. The girls fell short by an overall score of 0 - 5. The Boys defeated Jeff - Davis by a team score of 4 - 1. James Willingham, William Bates, and Isaiah Collins each won their individual singles matches and teammates Nick Simmons and Cash Carter won their set for doubles; for a team set score of 4 - 1. Congrats to these Gator Tennis Players for their efforts yesterday. The Gator Girls Golf team defeated Camden by a score of 143 to 150. Anniston Grantham was the low medalist for the day with a score of 43. Congratulations to the Girls Golf Team for their great efforts today. Go Gators!

Athletic Results 2/21/2024: JV Baseball defeated Jeff - Davis by a score of 7 - 5. Varsity Basketball fell in the first round of the GHSA 5A State Playoffs by a score of 79 - 55 and end the season. Huge thanks to Coach Lenny Williams, Coach David Carroll, Coach Jason Lanier, Ms. Jen Roberts, and all support staff as well as the entire faculty and student body for all of their support this season.
