It was a memorable Homecoming night at Memorial Stadium as the Ware County Gators celebrated with a convincing 30-0 victory over the Academy of Richmond County Musketeers on Friday, October 2.

With Gator Nation gathered at “The Swamp” for the 2026 Homecoming celebration, Ware County delivered a strong performance on both sides of the football and added another important victory to its Region 1-AAAAA record.

The Gators controlled the matchup from start to finish, putting 30 points on the scoreboard while the Ware County defense turned in a shutout performance. ARC was held scoreless throughout the night as the Gator defense helped make Homecoming 2026 a successful one in Waycross.

The victory capped a special evening that brought together students, alumni, families, and supporters to celebrate Ware County High School and Gator tradition. On the field, the Gators made sure the celebration continued through the final whistle.

With the win, The Gators improve to 4-2 overall and 3-0 in Region 1-AAAAA play. The Gators have now opened region play with three consecutive victories as they move into the second half of the regular season.
