The Ware County Lady Gators Competition Cheer Team opened its multi-team competition schedule in impressive fashion, traveling to Colquitt County and bringing home first place.
Competing against a strong field that included Valdosta, Tift County, Lowndes, and host Colquitt County, the Lady Gators delivered an outstanding routine and came away with the top finish.
Ware County earned a raw score of 96 - the highest score in program history. One deduction brought the Lady Gators' official final score to 94, but it was still enough to secure first place against a talented group of South Georgia programs.
The performance provided an exciting start to the competition season and gave the Lady Gators something to build on as they continue working toward their goals. Posting a program-record score in their first multi-team meet showed the potential of this year's squad and rewarded the work the team has put in leading up to the season.
Varsity Scores from The Event:
Ware County - 94.0
Colquitt County - 75.0
Lowndes County - 69.5
Valdosta - 68.5
Tift County - 60.5
First multi-team competition. First-place finish. Program-record score.
It was a great day for Ware County Competition Cheer and a strong beginning to the 2026 competition season.
