The Ware County Lady Gators Volleyball team traveled to Wayne County on Thursday, September 10, for a pair of important Region 1-AAAAA matches against the Academy of Richmond County (ARC) and host Wayne County.
It proved to be a challenging evening for Ware County as the Lady Gators dropped both region contests in straight sets.
Ware County entered the night continuing to battle through injuries that have limited the lineup in recent weeks. The Lady Gators were even more shorthanded Thursday, with several players unavailable or limited due to illness.
Despite the adversity, the Lady Gators continued to compete and work through a difficult stretch of the season. With region play underway, Ware County will look to get healthy, regroup, and continue improving as the schedule moves forward.
The upcoming week will provide another test of the team's depth and determination. Ware County begins a demanding stretch on Monday, September 14, with four consecutive play dates on the schedule.
With a busy week ahead, the Lady Gators will need contributions throughout the roster as they continue working together and battling through the challenges that come with a long season.
There is still plenty of volleyball to be played, and the message for the Lady Gators remains simple:
Keep battling. Keep improving. Keep fighting together.
