It’s another action-packed week for Ware County Gator Athletics as our student-athletes hit the road and compete at home across softball, volleyball, cross country, and football.
From Monday’s softball trip to Brunswick to Friday night under the lights in Douglas and Saturday morning cross country action, there will be plenty of opportunities for Gator Nation to support the Green and Gold!
Monday, August 24
The week begins on the diamond as the Lady Gator Varsity Softball Team travels to Brunswick to take on the Brunswick Lady Pirates.
First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 PM as the Lady Gators look to get the week started strong on the road.
Tuesday, August 25
Lady Gator Volleyball takes center stage Tuesday with a road trip for region competition against Groves.
All Lady Gator teams will be in action, with matches beginning at 4:00 PM. Every region opportunity is important as the Lady Gators continue working toward their goals for the 2026 season.
Wednesday, August 26
There are no scheduled athletic contests on Wednesday, giving Gator Nation a short break before a packed Thursday of Ware County Athletics.
Get ready - the Green and Gold will be competing across multiple sports on Thursday!
Thursday, August 27
Thursday is one of the busiest days of the week for Gator Athletics, with Cross Country, Softball, Football, and Volleyball all in action.
Ware County Cross Country will compete at home in a multi-team meet beginning at 5:00 PM.
On the diamond, Lady Gator Varsity Softball travels to Wayne County for a big region matchup against the Lady Yellow Jackets. First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 PM.
Football gets its regular-season competition underway at the sub - varsity level against Coffee. The 9th Grade Gators will travel to take on the Trojans at 5:00 PM, while the JV Gators will host Coffee at home, also beginning at 5:00 PM.
On the volleyball court, all Lady Gator Volleyball teams travel to Tift County to battle the Lady Blue Devils, with matches beginning at 4:00 PM.
It will be a full day of competition across Gator Nation!
Friday, August 28
Friday night means Gator Football!
The Ware County Gators hit the road for Douglas, Georgia, to take on the Coffee Trojans at Jardine Stadium.
Ware County enters the matchup 1-0 after opening the 2026 regular season with a hard-fought 22-21 road victory over Bainbridge.
Kickoff between the Gators and Trojans is scheduled for 7:30 PM. Gator Nation, make the trip to Douglas, wear your Green and Gold, and be loud as the Gators look to keep the momentum rolling!
Saturday, August 29
Ware County Cross Country will close out another busy week of Gator Athletics on Saturday morning.
The Gators and Lady Gators will travel to Coffee for a multi-team meet, with the starting gun scheduled for 8:00 AM.
From the softball diamond and volleyball court to the cross country course and football field, it’s another big week to be a Ware County Gator!
