The Ware County Gator Bass Fishing Team wrapped up the 2026 season on Saturday, May 9, competing against some of the top teams in the state at the GHSA State Bass Fishing Tournament held on Lake Sinclair.

The Gators were represented by multiple teams that battled tough competition and changing conditions throughout the day while proudly representing Ware County on the state stage.

Leading the way for Ware County was the team of Clary Kinnon, Ethan Bruner, and Captain Wendell Bagley, who brought in a total weight of 5 pounds, 12 ounces to finish in 77th place overall.

Close behind was the team of Kolton Taft, Andrew Wilson, and Captain Micheal Taft, who finished in 79th place with a catch weighing 5 pounds, 4 ounces.

Also competing for the Gators were Brody Jeffers Jackson, Jackson Lee, and Captain Buster Jeffers, who completed the day with a total catch of 3 pounds.

The GHSA State Tournament marked the conclusion of another successful season for the Ware County Bass Fishing program. Throughout the year, the Gators continued to compete at a high level while gaining valuable experience on lakes across the state.

It was a great day on the water and a strong finish to the 2026 season for the Ware County Gators.
