WARE COUNTY, GA - As the school year winds down, the energy across Ware County continues to build as Gator Athletics prepares for an action-packed Summer 2026 camp season. With opportunities spanning multiple sports, young athletes from across the community will have the chance to develop skills, build confidence, and connect with Ware County coaches and student - athletes.
From the baseball diamond to the mat, the court, and the field, this summer’s camp lineup offers something for every aspiring Gator.
⚾ Gator Baseball Camp - June 16 - 18
The Ware County High School baseball program will kick off the summer slate with a three-day camp held at WCHS. Open to players entering Kindergarten through 8th grade, this camp will focus on fundamental skill development in a fun and competitive environment.
Participants are encouraged to bring their gear and be ready to work, with early drop-off available each day. Under the direction of the Gator baseball staff, campers will receive hands-on instruction designed to sharpen their game.
🥎 Lady Gators Softball Camp - June 4 - 5
The Lady Gators softball program will host their annual summer camp for 1st through 8th graders, providing young athletes with instruction in hitting, fielding, and overall game fundamentals.
Campers who pre-register will receive a camp t-shirt, and the event continues to be one of the most popular youth opportunities each summer. Coach Rebecca Kirkland and her staff will lead the sessions, emphasizing both skill growth and love for the game.
⚽ WCHS Youth Soccer Camp - June 22 - 24
Set to take place at the Ware County Soccer Complex, this camp is open to athletes born between 2011 - 2018 and will run each morning.
Campers will have access to both elite and regular training options, focusing on technical skills, footwork, and game awareness. Players are encouraged to bring proper gear daily as they develop their abilities in a structured and energetic environment.
🏀 Gator Basketball Camp - July 6 - 9
Led by Coach Lenny Williams, the Gator Basketball Camp will provide a high-level training experience centered on player development.
With a strong emphasis on fundamentals, shooting mechanics, and basketball IQ, campers will benefit from instruction rooted in years of coaching success. The camp also offers a sibling discount, making it a great opportunity for families to get involved together.
📣 Mini Gator Cheer Camp - May 21 - 22
The WCHS Varsity Cheerleaders will host the Mini Gator Cheer Camp for students Pre-K through 5th grade.
This two-day camp will introduce participants to cheers, motions, and basic routines, all while building school spirit. The camp will conclude with a parent performance, giving campers a chance to showcase what they’ve learned.
🤼 Genesis Wrestling Camp - TBA
Ware County Wrestling will host the Genesis Wrestling Camp at the WCHS Wrestling Room, featuring elite instruction from accomplished coaches and athletes.
Open to boys and girls rising K - 8th grade, the camp will include multiple training sessions focused on technique, skill development, and live competition. With a structured schedule and experienced clinicians, this camp is a must for wrestlers looking to take the next step.
