Warner Robins, GA - April 20, 2026
The Ware County Gators golf program delivered a strong showing at the Area Tournament on Monday in Warner Robins, highlighted by a Region Championship from the Lady Gators and an individual medalist performance from the boys team.
The Ware County Boys Golf Team finished 5th overall with a team score of 330, closing out a competitive season. Leading the way was standout junior Asher Dean, who fired a 71 to earn Region Low Medalist honors. With his performance, Dean advances to the GHSA State Tournament as an individual.
Kolby King posted an 83, followed by Brody Martin with an 85. Jackson Ray and Will Peters each turned in rounds of 91, while Lucas Tuten finished with a 92 to round out the Gators’ scoring. The fifth-place finish marks the conclusion of the boys team’s season, with Dean continuing on to represent Ware County at the next level.
On the girls side, the Lady Gators captured the Region Championship with an impressive team score of 274, securing their spot in the GHSA State Championship in Savannah.
Anslee Kate Grantham led the charge with an 87, earning Region Low Medalist honors. Evee Griffin followed closely with an 88, while Kate Thomas contributed a 99. Lilly Petters (105) and Lillie Livingston (106) rounded out the scoring for Ware County.
With the championship performance, the Lady Gators advance as a team to the state tournament, where they will look to continue their strong season against the top competition in Georgia.

The Lady Gators will compete in the GHSA State Championship in Savannah on May 18 - May 19th, while Asher Dean will represent Ware County individually in the boys state tournament. Additional details will be announced once finalized.
