The Ware County Gators Boys Golf team turned in their strongest performance of the season on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, defending their home course at Okefenokee Country Club with a 156–162 victory over Wayne County.
The Gators showcased consistency across the lineup, putting together a complete team effort that resulted in their lowest score of the year. Leading the way was Asher Dean, who delivered an outstanding round of 34, finishing 2-under par to pace the field.
Brody Martin and Jackson Ray each added solid rounds of 40, while Lucas Tuten followed closely with a 42. Will Peters contributed a 44, and Kolby King rounded out the scoring with a 45.
Additional rounds for Ware County included Brandon Holley (46), Jackson Dubberly (48), Rhett Taylor (50), and Carter Hanchey (55), highlighting the depth of the Gators’ lineup on the day.
With the win, Ware County continues to build momentum as the postseason approaches, showing the ability to perform at a high level on their home course.
