The Ware County High School tennis program celebrated Senior Night in dominant fashion on Thursday, March 26, 2026, as both the Lady Gators and Gators earned impressive victories over the Fitzgerald Hurricane at the Ware County Tennis Courts.
Lady Gators Roll to 5-0 Victory
The Lady Gators continued their strong stretch of play, securing a 5-0 sweep over Fitzgerald to earn their third consecutive victory. Ware County controlled the match from the outset, showcasing depth and consistency across both singles and doubles competition.
In singles action, Bailey Denton, Elly Blackrick, and Paislee Wildes each delivered commanding performances, winning their matches in straight sets to set the tone early.
The doubles teams followed suit to complete the sweep. Senior Kayleigh LeMay, competing in her final regular season home match, teamed with Gracie Vickers to earn a straight-sets victory. Callie Lewis and Izzy Tatum closed out the match with another decisive win, sealing the Lady Gators’ dominant Senior Night performance.
Gators Earn 4-1 Win, Continue Strong Season
On the boys side, the Gators secured a 4-1 victory over the Hurricanes, marking their ninth win of the season and surpassing last year’s total—a testament to the team’s growth and progress throughout the spring.
In singles play, JV Manabat picked up his second consecutive win at first singles, while Miles Smith added another point with a strong performance at second singles.
Ware County’s doubles teams proved to be the difference, sweeping both matches. The duo of Landon Lingenfelter and Cash Carter earned their second straight victory, while Eli Cook and Ashton Stormant delivered a straight-sets win to help clinch the team victory.
