The Ware County Gator Tennis teams traveled to Lowndes County on Thursday, March 19, 2026, to take on the Vikings in a Region 1-AAAA showdown. Despite strong individual performances across both varsity and junior varsity levels, the Gators came up short against a tough Lowndes squad.
Lady Gators Compete Hard on the Road
The Ware County varsity girls fell by a score of 1-4, with Paislee Wildes securing the lone victory for the Lady Gators at third singles.
In junior varsity action, the Lady Gators put together a competitive match but ultimately fell 2-3. Hannah Hart earned a win at second singles, while the doubles team of Callie Lewis and Izzy Tatum picked up a victory at first doubles.
Gator Boys Fall to Vikings
On the boys side, the Gators also dropped a 1-4 decision to Lowndes County. Miles Smith provided the highlight for Ware County, earning the lone varsity win at third singles.
In JV exhibition play, Baylor Peacock continued his strong run, picking up another singles victory for the Gators.

The Ware County Gator Tennis teams will hit the road again as they travel to Savannah on Tuesday 3/24/2026 for the Region 1-AAAA Tournament, where they will look to build on their performances and compete for postseason advancement.
