The Ware County Lady Gators and Gator Tennis teams traveled to Lowndes County on Friday, March 6, 2026, and Saturday, March 7, 2026, to compete in the Viking Invitational, taking on a strong group of opponents over the two-day event.
Both teams were tested throughout the weekend, facing quality competition and gaining valuable match experience as the season continues.
Lady Gators Pick Up Win Over Colquitt
The Lady Gators opened the invitational with an impressive 4-0 win over Colquitt, showing strong play across the lineup.
Ware County then faced a tough challenge against host Lowndes, falling by a 3-1 score, before closing the weekend against Bleckley, where the Lady Gators came up short 4-0.
Despite the difficult field, the Lady Gators were able to collect an early team victory and continue building experience against some of the area’s top competition.

Gators Compete Evenly in Tight Matches
The Ware County boys were also in action throughout the invitational and found themselves in several tightly contested matches.
The Gators battled Colquitt to a 2-2 draw, dropped a 3-1 decision to West Laurens, and later finished with another 2-2 draw against Bleckley.
Ware County was led by its senior singles players throughout the weekend. JV Manabat turned in a standout performance, going 3-0 in singles play, while Cash Carter added a strong 2-1 singles record to help pace the Gators.
