The Ware County Gators Bass Fishing Team took to the water on Saturday, March 7, 2026, competing in a GHSA Bass Fishing Qualifier against teams from across the state. The Gators showcased strong teamwork and determination throughout the event, turning in several solid catches during the competition.
Leading the way for Ware County was the trio of Kolton Taft, Andrew Wilson, and Michael Taft, who brought in an impressive 12 pounds, 15 ounces, giving the Gators their top weight of the day.
Another strong performance came from Clary Kinnon, Ethan Bruner, and Wendell Bagley, who finished with 10 pounds, 12 ounces, demonstrating consistency and skill on the water.
The team of Kyler Matthews, Waylon Smith, and Jason Smith also turned in a solid day, weighing in 8 pounds, 4 ounces.

The GHSA qualifier provided another great opportunity for the Ware County anglers to compete at a high level while representing their school with pride. With multiple teams bringing in quality catches, the Gators continue to show growth and competitiveness on the water this season.
