The Ware County Tennis teams traveled to Douglas on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, to face Coffee County, with the Trojans claiming victories across all varsity and JV matchups.
🎾 Girls Match Recap
The Lady Gators varsity squad battled throughout the afternoon but ultimately fell 0-5 to Coffee County. The JV Lady Gators also dropped a 0-5 decision, as the Trojans controlled play across singles and doubles courts.
Despite the scores, the match provided valuable experience for the Lady Gators as they continue to build chemistry and consistency early in the season.
🎾 Boys Match Recap
The Ware County boys varsity team also suffered a 0-5 setback against Coffee County. However, the Gators found a bright spot in exhibition play where the doubles tandem of Tyler Bird and Griffin Williams earned Ware’s lone win of the day with a strong performance.
The boys will now shift focus to region competition, traveling to Benedictine on Thursday to open Region 1-AAAA play.
