The Ware County Lady Gators golf team delivered another strong showing Thursday, February 19, 2026, earning a 134 -142 victory over Lowndes County at Kinderlou Golf Club in Valdosta.
Playing on one of South Georgia’s premier courses, the Lady Gators relied on steady scoring throughout the lineup to secure the road win. Eevy Griffin paced Ware County with a team-low 41, while Annslee Kate Grantham followed with a 44. Kate Thomas added a 49 to round out the top three scores for the Lady Gators.
Ware County’s depth proved key in the victory as Chloe Henderson carded a 51, Lily Peters posted a 52, and Cora Britt finished with a 54, helping the Lady Gators maintain separation from Lowndes down the stretch.
The win continues a positive run for Ware County as the team gains confidence heading into another busy week of competition.

Both the Lady Gators and Gator Boys are scheduled for multiple events in the coming days as the spring season continues.
The boys will open the week Monday in a multi-team competition before both squads travel Tuesday to face Jeff Davis. The Lady Gators will then return to Kinderlou on Thursday for another meeting with Lowndes.
With momentum from Thursday’s victory, Ware County golf will look to carry its strong play into the upcoming stretch of matches.
