Ware County Gators Baseball hosted the Colquitt County Packers on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Gator Field in a back-and-forth contest that ended in a tough 7-6 loss for the Gators.
Ware County jumped out early, building a 5-0 lead, but Colquitt County rallied late to secure the win in the top of the seventh inning.
Game Recap
The Gators struck first in the bottom of the first inning. An error plated the opening run, followed by an RBI single from Collin Crawford. Colt Cox added a groundout that brought home two more runs to give Ware County early control.
Colquitt County chipped away before taking the lead in the seventh. Bowen DeRosso doubled to drive in two runs, and Chase Enfinger followed with the go-ahead RBI single to seal the 7-6 victory.
Ware County tallied nine hits in the game:
Seth Suess went 3-for-3 at the plate.
Slade Sweat added two hits.
Colt Cox drove in two runs.
The Gators were aggressive on the basepaths, stealing nine bases in the contest.
