The Ware County Gators Rifle Team turned in an outstanding performance on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, hosting Bradwell Institute at the Ware County Rifle Range in Waycross. Ware swept the team standings, led by a dominant showing from Ware A to secure the overall victory.

Competing in the 3x10 Air Rifle course of fire, Ware A posted a winning aggregate of 1159 with 67 centers, outpacing Bradwell’s 991 with 11 centers. The Gators were sharp across all three positions - kneeling, prone, and standing - setting the tone early and maintaining control throughout the match.

Individually, Autumn Buskirk led Ware A with a strong 291 (20 centers), highlighted by a perfect 100 in the prone position. Gabbie Howard followed closely with a 290 (17 centers), while Camdyn Thornton added a 289 (18 centers). Mason Briggs also finished at 289, and Aniston Pittman rounded out the top five scorers for Ware A with a 286. Additional solid contributions came from Angel Hernandez and Grant Johnson, underscoring the depth of the Gators’ lineup.

Ware’s depth continued to show with Ware B finishing second overall at 1107 (37 centers). Greyson Christmas paced the group with a 289, supported by consistent efforts from Nicholas Hensley, Ben Dean, Paisley Graham, and Chloe Loper. Ware C placed third with a 1018 (20 centers), led by Hayden Lang and Nathan Casavant.

Bradwell Institute was led by Aliyah Jones, who posted a 260, with Sari Johnson and Amonte’ Felton also contributing to the Tigers’ effort.

With multiple squads placing ahead of the competition and strong individual performances across the board, the Ware County Gators continued to showcase their consistency and depth on the range. The results were listed as unofficial at the time of posting.

Next up, the Gators will host a match on February 9, 2026 at the Rifle Range beginning at 5:00 PM against Groves High School.
