The Ware County Gators Basketball teams hosted the Long County Tide on Saturday, January 24, 2026, inside a packed Gator Den for a special Senior Night celebration. The evening featured four hard-fought contests, highlighted by varsity sweeps and memorable moments honoring Ware County’s senior athletes.
The night opened with the JV Girls setting the tone, grinding out a 32 - 26 victory over Long County. The Gators played strong team defense down the stretch to secure the win.
In the JV Boys matchup, Ware County battled to the final horn and beyond, forcing overtime before ultimately falling 41 - 39 in a tightly contested game that could have gone either way.
The spotlight then turned to varsity action, where the Varsity Girls delivered a complete performance, earning a 48 - 36 win. The Gators controlled the tempo and made key plays on both ends of the floor to pull away late.
Senior Night closed in dramatic fashion as the Varsity Boys defended home court with a 59 - 54 victory over the Tide. In front of a loud Gator Den, Ware County leaned on poise and execution in the closing minutes to seal the win and cap off a memorable night celebrating its seniors.
