The Ware County Gators delivered a strong showing on the road Friday night, sweeping a Region 1-AAAA basketball matchup against the Perry Panthers on January 23, 2026.
The Varsity Girls opened the night with a gritty 46 - 43 victory. A’Treasure White turned in a standout performance, finishing with 21 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Lady Gators. Bre added a key contribution with 14 points and 6 rebounds as Ware County made the necessary plays down the stretch to secure the region win.
The Varsity Boys followed with a dominant 86 - 52 win over the Panthers. With the victory, the Gators improved to 17 - 3 overall and 6 - 1 in Region 1 - AAAA play. Masiyer “Moo Moo” McKoy led all scorers with 27 points, while Ja’Londi O’Hara added 19. Davion Jones chipped in 12 points and Kevin Ramsey finished with 11 as Ware County pulled away early and never looked back.
The Gators are back in action today, Saturday, January 24, 2026, as they return to the Gator Den to celebrate Senior Night against Long County. The schedule for the day is as follows:
JV Girls - 1:00 PM
JV Boys - 2:30 PM
Varsity Girls - 4:00 PM
Varsity Boys - 5:30 PM
