The Ware County Varsity Boys Basketball team closed out play at the Brunswick Holiday Invitational with a tough, competitive matchup on the tournament’s final day, falling to host Brunswick High School by a score of 67 - 62. Despite the setback, the Gators showed grit, determination, and growth while facing a strong opponent, finishing a challenging stretch of three games in four days.
Offensively, Ware County was led by Ja’Londi O’Hara, who scored 16 points, while Travis Story added 15 points. Masiyer McKoy contributed 12 points, and Davion Jones finished with 11 points, as the Gators’ balanced attack kept the game within reach until the final moments.
The Brunswick Holiday Invitational served as a great test for the green and gold, as Ware County competed against quality programs over multiple days. The experience gained throughout the tournament will pay dividends as the season progresses. With the loss, the Gators move to 9 - 2 overall.
A special congratulations goes out to 2027 point guard Davion Jones, who was named Player of the Game in the contest against Brunswick. His leadership and performance stood out on the road against the tournament host.

Ware County Boys Basketball (9 - 2) will hit the road once again this weekend, traveling Saturday 1/3/2026 to compete in The Raiderdome Classic. The Gators will face another tough road challenge as they take on host school Orange Park High School (Florida); tipoff is set for 3:15 PM.
